Frequently Asked Questions
If your question isn't addressed here, feel free to send me an email.
Do you teach classes?
I do not currently offer classes. However, I have enjoyed teaching in the past and am planning to offer classes in the future.
To watch for upcoming workshops, classes, and touring information, like our Facebook page:
Are you on Social Media?
Yes! Inspirations Art Studio has a presence on Facebook. Following will allow you to see when workshops, classes and tours are happening. I also do frequent giveaways and coupon raffles for interactive followers.
Social media is also where I post all my up-and-coming projects, so you can make suggestions for future pieces, claim a piece or negotiate a price before it even hits the site!

Do you include frames with your pieces?
No. I don't include frames to keep my prices reasonable, and so that your can choose a frame to match your own decor. Shipping glass against art is also asking for disaster, in my opinion. I'm happy to offer advice on framers to fit your tastes/budget.
How much is shipping?
Shipping costs vary widely ($11 - $115 so far), because my items are so different in size and fragility. Large stretched canvas pieces are the most expensive to ship, because they hit dimensional weight charges.
How is your art priced?
I currently price it at $15/hour worked + material cost.
So, if I worked for 2 hours on a piece, and the canvas costed me $10, the piece will cost $40 before shipping.
I keep my art at a low cost because I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to hang original art on their walls.
In the past, I used a dollar/linear inch pricing model, but realized I was discouraging myself from putting more time into my art, since the canvas size was making the biggest difference.
Can I get a discount if I pick up my art?
Absolutely! Pick-up customers are entitled to a 10% discount. If you paid full price for your piece and are planning on picking it up, ask at pick-up and I'll write you a 10% rebate check. Email me at check-out to schedule a pick-up.
How long does it take you to do these art pieces?
My paintings generally fall in the 2-6 hour range. Low detail pieces sometimes take less than 2 hours. Highly detailed pieces take 6-15 hours of intensive time.
Portraits take 5-15 hours, depending on medium and subject detail. i.e. an infant is less detailed than a 70-year-old man, by nature.
